Led Zeppelin: O2 Arena London, Reunion Concert Videos.

Led Zeppelin, O2 Arena London.

Led Zeppelin at O2 Arena, London. 10th of December 2007. A wondrous day. A miracle almost for all rock and roll fans. Led Zeppelin reforms for the first time in 19 years for a concert . God I haven’t been so musically excited for a long time. I didn’t get to see them live, unlike the 20,000 lucky sods that did. Bless your souls.

I’ve been reading lots of rave reviews and even had the chance to see/hear some awesome video clips of the concert. Fans uploaded concert footage to Youtube and they were apparently removed after Warner Music filed a request with Youtube:

Although Warner Music Group does have a licensing deal in place with YouTube that would allow fans to post WMG-copyrighted material, sources close to the situation say that Led Zeppelin owns the rights to the concert, and that the band’s management requested the removal of any clips of the event. It is believed a DVD of the event, which served as a tribute to late Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, will be released next year.

Some of the other video websites still have the videos up and I’m gonna repost them here for those of you who can’t wait for the bloody DVD and want a taste now.

New clips are coming in by the hour on Youtube as well but most of them are removed pretty quick. Some songs don’t seem to be uploaded yet. I’m still looking for In My Time of Dying, one of my favorite Led Zep songs.

Let’s start with the set list, which I obtained from NME:

  1. ‘Good Times Bad Times’
  2. ‘Ramble On’
  3. ‘Black Dog’
  4. ‘In My Time Of Dying’
  5. ‘For Your Life’
  6. ‘Trampled Under Foot’
  7. ‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’
  8. ‘No Quarter’
  9. ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’
  10. ‘Dazed And Confused’
  11. ‘Stairway To Heaven’
  12. ‘The Song Remains The Same’
  13. ‘Misty Mountain Hop’
  14. ‘Kashmir’
  15. ‘Whole Lotta Love’
  16. ‘Rock And Roll’

And here are the videos for each song. I tried to look for the ones with the best sound and video quality but some of them are understandably crappy.. sometimes you can’t even see the band.

If you know a better quality vid, let me know and I’ll update this post.

‘Good Times Bad Times’ (song starts at 1.10)

‘Black Dog’ (not the full video)

‘No Quarter’

‘Stairway To Heaven’

‘The Song Remains The Same’

‘Kashmir’

‘Whole Lotta Love’

  3. Hey there !

You’re not alone in not viewing anything!

I did get through all the traffic on the web in trying to purchase tickets for the show but that’s as far as I got… oh well their music can still heard over and over I guess .

Led Zeppelin is timeless and will foerever be remembered.

  10. Who won (or bought) a ticket for this show are the lucky guy in the world…Led Zeppelin is my favorite band and they’re really the best of the rock in the 70’s for me!

    If Jonh Bonham hadn’t died…

  12. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!!! Led Zeppelin is my favorite all time band. I saw Plant in ‘85. I saw Page and Jason Bonham in ‘88. Page was recovering from a stomach sickness but played his arse off. Then, I saw Page & Plant in ‘95 and again in ‘98. They ROCKED in ‘98. I hope they get the LZ O2 DVD out sooner rather than later. I tried to get tickets. Their music is like nothing else. Led Zeppelin is timeless, innovative, powerful and kick-ass! I was glad to see John Paul Jones back with Jimmy and Robert. Having Jason Bonham there was a big plus too. Wish they’d do a US major city tour, but Plant is making the rounds with Alison Kraus. Oh well. I’d pay to see them in any major US city and fly there to boot!

  13. It was great seeing Jason using his dad’s old set. It would be interesting to know if John had toured with that exact kit in the 70’s. I saw them in 75 and 77. After all the years they can still hammer. I’m glad they left out moby dick because that was all John’s. It’s amazing how Jason sounds so much like his Dad. It’s like John was also there.
